![]() I've been stuck at 177lbs for several years now. This is still a deficit of caloric intake according to the calculator. In the most extreme work day situation, I might have up to 2000-2200 calories. Today is my first day using this so I added everything up that I've eaten and it came to about 1600 calories. When I get home around 10 I usually have a veggie wrap or an egg omelet with cheese or sometimes ham, too, with tea. That is usually a yogurt with fruit and water or something like that. I don't have anything else until 5 or later when I can take my next break. I have my lunch break around 2:30 and have noodles or a sandwich with a fruit snack cup and at least one cup of water. An hour after arriving at work I have a Fiber One bar with water. I have coffee on my way to work (1 hr drive). I wake up 8pm-ish and have breakfast/dinner - my biggest meal of the day. Here is my deal: I work night shift in a clinical lab. I can't see myself eating more than I already do. I just joined today and I think I went through all of the calculators and noticed that my caloric requirement is like 2900 calories. Thanks for participating in our community. The result is pain, numbness, tingling, and burning sensations down the arm, and even arm weakness if the nerve compression continues. This can compress the brachial plexus, a bundle of nerves that exits the cervical spine levels and extend to the muscles of the arm. ![]() When the upper trap is excessively tight, the levator and scalene tend to be tight as well, pulling the posterior first rib into an elevated position. When the upper trap is excessively tight, it frequently sends trigger points to the same side eye, which feels like a piercing pain going directly through your eye. How do you know if this is the source of your symptoms? First, find a physical therapist who can diagnose the problem. Subtle symptoms will start to occur- neck stiffness with prolonged computer work, headaches when driving, or shooting pain down the arm when holding an infant are all signs of an overused upper trap. Whether it’s reaching for a dish in an overhead cupboard, painting a ceiling, driving with your arm leaning on the door, or playing baseball in your summer rec league, you may feel like you’re doing just fine but silently, overuse of the upper trap muscle results in increasing muscle tightness, even at rest. However, if you have weak rotator cuff muscles such as the supraspinatus muscle along with weak scapular stabilizing muscles (rhomboid, middle trap, and lower trap), every time you raise your arm, whether overhead or out to the side, above 90 degrees or below, the upper trap is happy to assist in your movement to allow you to do what you need to do. When the upper trap functions as it should, all is good with the neck and shoulder complex. The muscle normally functions to upwardly rotate the shoulder blade to help you raise your arm above 90 degrees. The upper trap extends from ligaments near the first 6 cervical vertebrae to the top of your shoulder. All of these issues and more are caused by probably the most common compensation of all, upper trapezius. ![]() To tie your reverb effects more to your tracks Altiverb 7 features a reverb gate that is set using note values. ![]() Like many works that are part of the dark academia canon, The Secret History is inspired by, and makes reference to, a number of Greek epics and tragedies. Rio’s If We Were Villains and Susanna Clarke’s Piranesi also fall into this subgenre. Retroactively, this label has been used to describe Gothic and Romantic works such as Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray and the poetry of Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley. Dark academia is a literary subgenre that applies themes and stylings of classical Greek and Gothic arts and architectures to modern college campuses-in some ways, it can be thought of as a contemporary rebranding of Gothic literature. Then, in 2013, Tartt published The Goldfinch, which is now her best-known and most critically acclaimed novel. After The Little Friend’s publication, another decade went by without a new Tartt novel. Though it is the least popular and acclaimed of Tartt’s novels, The Little Friend was still very successful and well-liked. Eventually, it arrived in 2002 with the title The Little Friend. However, the follow-up to The Secret History wouldn’t come for another 10 years. Tartt was hailed as a literary genius and her next book was eagerly awaited. The Secret History was finally published in 1992 to rave reviews, and it turned Tartt into a literary celebrity. After college, Tartt split her time between Boston and New York while working on the novel that would eventually become The Secret History. Tartt’s peer group at Bennington is now legendary, as it consisted of fellow authors Johnathan Lethem, Bret Easton Ellis, and Jill Eisenstadt. In 1981, Tartt began attending the University of Mississippi before transferring to Bennington College in 1982. Tartt started writing at the age of five and had already published a poem in The Mississippi Review by age 13. Both of Tartt’s parents were voracious readers and instilled in her a lifelong love for books and writing. For many topics, there will likely be competing knols on the same subject. We hope that knols will include the opinions and points of view of the authors who will put their reputation on the line. Then we get into Squidoo territory as writers will own pages (“The key idea behind the knol project is to highlight authors”) and the trump card: Google will offer a revenue share of ads displayed against the content.ĭuplication could become an issue however, with Google saying that they will not serve as an editor in any way, and “will not bless any content.” To quote Google:Īll editorial responsibilities and control will rest with the authors.
